The Story Behind Venus Gin

Venus Gin was born from the generosity of our local community. We harvested figs from heritage trees across Streaky Bay and Wirrulla —some of which were planted many decades ago. These sun-ripened treasures provide a luscious, fruity base for a gin that is truly one of a kind - its seasonal and limited!

Distilled with a warm heart of allspice, cinnamon, and ginger, its sweet and gorgeous.

Figs are a firm favourite of all kinds of birds, meaning that despite our strategic picking practices, we could only get our hands on a limited amount of figs. Figs are also a very subtle flavour, so we could only make a small volume of gin - under 100 bottles.

We had a number of visitors to the distillery during the final blending stage of this Gin, including a couple of gin enthusiasts, plumbers, an electrician and some friends - everyone loved it. We love it too and hope we can get our sticky fingers on more figs next year so we can make this little gem again.
