In the pristine, untamed waters off Streaky Bay, the Guidera family dives for wild green-lipped abalone in places like Smooth Pool. It’s a dangerous harvest — sharks, surging swells, and the cold, deep ocean. From the Guidara’s catch, we take the whole shell, breaking it into pieces and placing it in the still pot with cucumber, Tasmanian pepperberry, orange zest, coriander, and base botanicals. The shell imparts a clean, subtle minerality — a whisper of the ocean. Smooth Pool Gin is our tribute to courage, craft, and the wild beauty of home.
