Streaky Bay Whisky is the first whisky ever made in Streaky Bay, South Australia — a small-batch Australian whisky crafted by Streaky Bay Distillers on the wild Eyre Peninsula coastline.

Three years in the making, this whisky spent two years maturing in an ex-bourbon American oak barrel (named Lorraine) before finishing for a further year in French oak casks, hand-coopered locally by a cooper in Port Kenny, South Australia. That final year was split across three barrels — Tinny, Ikan Eli and Setia — each named after real boats from the 1970s to 2026 and finished with a hand-painted image of its namesake vessel. It's a genuine piece of local maritime history in every bottle, connecting back to a tuna industry — and a way of life — that no longer exists in Streaky Bay.

The label is just as personal: a hand-cut lino print by Rebecca, co-owner of Streaky Bay Distillers, depicting four tuna boats in the nostalgic era of the 70s and 80s.

Tasting notes:
Nose — malt biscuits, vanilla essence and honey, with a solid punch of cinnamon.
Palate — opens sweet with caramel and toasted oats, then builds into a warm, spicy hit of clove and ginger.
Finish — long and warming, with clean, dry woodiness and a lingering hint of pepper.
