Back in the 1970s, reaching Little Islands near Streaky Bay meant six kilometres of bumpy dirt road. I remember going there with my grandmother in her Mini Minor, a thermos between us, and the promise of sunburn ahead. At low tide, you could walk to one island and circle it in ten minutes; the other was a rocky outcrop covered in cormorants.
Years later, when creating gins that capture the taste of home, we turned to this place. Theres a bitumen road now and our distillery sits between the bay and Little Islands. Weve taken Saltbush from Little Islands, lime leaves, and lemon zest from our garden to bring a bright, savoury coastal character.
Little Islands, Big Spirits.
Product introduction
Very Little Islands Gin with Kaffir Lime and Saltbush is an award-winning South Australian craft gin inspired by Little Islands, a much-loved coastal place near Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula.
This bright, citrus-forward gin is handcrafted with kaffir lime leaves and lemon zest from our garden, saltbush gathered locally and carefully selected traditional gin botanicals.
It has a restrained, herby citrus aroma, gentle savoury and salty flavours, subtle earthy undertones and a smooth, lightly spiced body. The finish is crisp, dry and long, capturing the freshness and resilient native flora of the Streaky Bay coast.

Reviews
Without a doubt this is my favourite gin. It tastes divine. Purchased when travelling with a stop over for a few nights in Streaky Bay. Met the delightful friendly Bec and Tony at their gorgeous servery on the foreshore. Came back for more cocktails as it was so good. Purchased 3 bottles via their QR code which were delivered within the hour to our caravan, along with a beautiful gift and hand written thank you card. Support this small business as their products and friendly service are perfect
First time purchasing from this distillery and it was a wonderful, pleasant experience. The gin arrived within a couple of days!! There were a couple of extra's in the parcel like dried orange slices and a cocktail recipe to try out with the gin, I haven't tried to make it yet however it sounds delicious.
I love the gin it almost has a nutty or savoury flavour which may be the saltbush, I am not sure.
What a wonderful surprise this new gin was. Fresh, vibrant, smooth and just yum. I received it through the Garden St Gin club and first tasted it with Fevertree Elderflower tonic. In one word ... divine. I then purchased some smaller Sister gins as Chrissy gifts with a freebie thrown in and a lovely personal note from Beck. Thankyou.
Cannot wait to try the whole range now! Great service and exceptional products.

Streaky Bay Gin is a Go To ..
A gin fanatic that's me. Has to be with just soda. And this one, Streaky Bay Very Little Islands, is the best I have tasted - and believe me I have tasted quiet a few. First found it via the Garden Street Gin club (and I thought the best of the year) but now order it direct. You would be mad not to give it a try. Oh, and Bec is a wonderful person.
